Superstat Pty Ltd ("Superstat", "we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
This policy explains how we collect, use, store, and disclose personal information when you use our platform at superstat.com.au and app.superstat.com.au.
1. Information we collect
We collect the following types of information:

Full name, email address, and club or team details
Competition level, age group, and match information
Player names and jersey numbers
Payment and billing information
Video footage uploaded to the platform
Messages, feedback, or support requests
Automatically collected data
IP address, device, and browser information
Usage data such as pages viewed and time on site
Metadata from uploaded videos (e.g. timestamps)
Derived data
AI-generated statistics, highlights, and performance reports
Insights derived from video content such as player activity
2. How we use your information
We use your information to:
operate and deliver the Superstat platform
process and analyse video footage overnight to generate statistics and insights
provide customer support
manage subscriptions and payments
improve platform performance and reliability
improve our AI models using data with identifiable elements reduced where reasonably practicable
communicate product updates (you can opt out at any time)
3. Legal basis
We process your information based on:
your consent (e.g. uploading footage)
contractual necessity (to provide the service)
legitimate interests (platform improvement and security)
legal obligations
4. Data storage and location
All Superstat data, including video footage, personal information, and performance data, is stored on Amazon Web Services infrastructure located in Sydney, Australia (ap-southeast-2).
We do not store or process identifiable personal data outside Australia.
Where we use third-party service providers:
no identifiable personal data is transferred offshore, or
appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth)
5. Who we share data with
We only share data where necessary to operate the platform, including:
Australian-based cloud infrastructure (AWS Sydney)
Stripe for payment processing
OpenAI for AI processing and model inference
PostHog for product analytics
service providers under strict confidentiality obligations
We may also share data:
with clubs or organisations where access has been granted by the uploader
with regulators or authorities if required by law
We do not:
sell personal information
use facial recognition or biometric matching technology to identify players
provide identifiable video footage to third parties for marketing or commercial purposes
6. AI training and model improvement
Superstat may use uploaded content to train and improve its AI systems.
Where content is used:
identifiable elements are reduced where reasonably practicable
content is never used to publicly identify individuals
content is not used for advertising purposes
Organisations may opt out of having their data used for AI training at any time by emailing kai@superstat.com.au.
7. Data retention
Video footage and stats are retained while your account is active or as required for legal or operational purposes
When a video is deleted, all associated derived data including statistics and highlights is also permanently deleted
Deletion requests will be actioned within 30 days
You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing kai@superstat.com.au.
8. Security
We use industry-standard security measures including:
encrypted data storage
access controls and invitation-only content sharing
system monitoring
No system is completely secure. Avoid uploading sensitive or inappropriate content.
9. Your rights
You have the right to:
access your personal data
request corrections
request deletion
withdraw consent (where applicable)

10. Children and junior sport
Where the platform is used by organisations involving participants under 18:
organisations must obtain parental or guardian consent before uploading content
all content is private by default and restricted to authorised users
identifiable footage is not used for advertising, public display, or external distribution
Superstat complies with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
11. Cookies and analytics
We use PostHog for product analytics and cookies for platform functionality. This may include data on pages visited, features used, and device information.

12. Data breaches
In the event of a data breach, we will:
investigate and contain the issue
